Well, simply they are buildings made out of Straw Bales (the wheat/barley/or other straw that is collected from the field after a harvest then bunched togther into a bale). We (agincourtgreen) use the bales as giant building blocks. Its very a very cheap way of building, very ecologically friendly and makes a really comfortable house. Its also very fun to build with - anyone can join in.

You are in Isreal right? Well, there are two that I know off there. One in Tsfat and one in D.N Eilot (I hope I've spelt that correctly!). This website - [link] - is a worldwide list. Although its not completely up to date, it still does have a lot of information on it.

Cool... I didn't know that !
Tsfat is closer to where I live so it's a good reason to travel and see the place.
The other place is in Kibutz Lotan (D.N Eilot is the post box address) and is in the far south side of Israel (although in such a small country far is not a good excuse :) )

I promise to share some photos from this place once I get there.

Fantastic! I hope you get there - I'm looking foward to seeing some pictures! I think there is an email on that website for the owner, so you can get an appointment.
I just did a bit more reading around and found out there is also a medical centre (Bustan L'Shalom Medical Clinic) in Wadi Na'am, Israel (here is a picture of it nearly finished - [link] ).
