Speaking as a resident of planet earth, thanks for speaking out on behalf of my interests.
Confession time : I have about half of those plastic bags you mention under my sink.
As for Christmas trees, we have a Weeping Fig (living) that just loves getting dressed up at Christmas. My tip - decorate your house plants, they deserve it, after a whole year providing you with oxygen/energy and they look so much better in tinsel and fairy lights than some blousy tart of a fir tree that you've picked up cheap down the high street.
So the mystery of the great plastic bag defecit of 2005 is solved!
Well, so long as your planning to re-use them....
Great tip with the house plants, I'll definately be doing that this year - its about time they got to share the limelight. A little tip in return - if you've not already got one, get a (or some) spider plant (or plants). They're fantastic at absorbing all those nasty toxins in paint, wood finishes, plastics, insulation etc etc that are dangerous to us. Plus, if you have a cat, they'll love them and will thoroughly enjoy ripping them to shreds when your out doing the Christmas shopping (trust me on that....).
